For the first time at any Fringe, around the world, we are presenting TRUE STORIES OF THE PARANORMAL! My 17 years as a paranormal investigator and psychic medium with The Paranormal Explorers have added up to over 200+ stories. But on this one special night, I will tell you about mymost unusual and creepiest encounters!!
We are going to have an entertaining night, with the audience sitting in dim light and an infrared camera pointing at……the audience! So you’ll be able to see if there is something flying past you or your seat mate on a big screen TV. You never know what you’ll encounter in the dark. Crazy spooky!!
We’ve been contacted by some people in the last 5 months who ask us what we think might be going on in their house. They have listed a couple of noises and activities but nothing overly frightening or disturbing. I have made the suggestion that they should keep a journal of what is going on and that will tell them more information about what may be happening in their world.
Here is some pointers for journaling about paranormal:
List a description of what activity occurred, i.e., “heard footsteps in the hallway at midnight” or “something whispering in the kitchen when I was alone”.
Note the date, time and location of where the event or activity occurred in your house or wherever you happen to be.
List what YOU were engaged in at the time the event/activity occurred like “watching the news on TV”, “playing video game”, “sleeping in bed”.
The reason for writing all of this down is that you can often pinpoint if there is a pattern and possibly determine why the spirit might be there. Some spirits will show up for reasons you would never think of. Let me give you some examples:
One case we had this particular spirit only seemed to show up and make trouble when the woman of the house wasn’t making fried chicken.
One spirit showed up for a certain TV show once a week.
A spirit didn’t like this woman’s boyfriend and created havoc every time the boyfriend came over to visit.
Keeping a record of what happens makes it easier for you to relate to us or someone else, the circumstances surrounding your haunting and might give you clarity into if the activity is paranormal or not. You might gain some peace of mind and make a decision on what you want to do to move forward.
A person has to die on a piece of land or in a certain building in order for their spirit to haunt it – NOT TRUE!!!
This is such a huge myth and major misconception.
Spirits do not have the space and time restrictions that we do (quantum physics, baby!). The inside of your house could look like the inside of your house or the Serengeti Plains to them. Their dimensional plane is not OUR dimensional universe, although, they have the ability to come in and out of it.
Sometimes a house, a room or a piece of furniture looks like something they used to have when they were alive; thus the attraction.
Other reasons are:
They are enjoying whatever kind of activity is taking place;
A particular person’s energy is drawing them to that person.
The Paranormal Explorers have been to some historical sites where murder or a tragic event has taken place. I have noticed that the spirit of the person who has befallen the misfortune is not always present in the building or surrounding area. They have crossed over and are not there. However, other spirits might be present who had nothing whatsoever to do with the tragic event or even the historical period it happened in. Odd, you say??? Not really.
What might look like a decaying abandoned building to us, could appear totally different to spirit in their dimension
There is no law in the universe that states you have to “haunt” the place where you died. Quite possibly, most spirits can’t wait to get the hell away from where all the nasty stuff happened.
A murder, a battle or certain suicides can attract negative spirits who never participated in any of the events, but are feeding off the attention, fear, and horror the living are giving. The residual energy that is still there is an attractant too.
We had a case where a woman thought her husband, who had taken his own life, was stuck in the house and wasn’t crossing over. It turned out her husband had crossed over immediately and the spirit that was in the house was actually a poor woman who had Alzheimers and didn’t know where she was or what was happening to her.
Not sure why the lady with Alzheimers was in this person’s house – we’ll never know, but that is just one example of thinking that the person who died in the house, is haunting the house. (The Alzheimer spirit did get helped over so she is okay – just so you know)
Just in time for Halloween – a talk on the spooky stuff people love to hear. Except these are true tales of ghost experiences, not Halloween fables. The talk starts at 6 pm., upstairs at the Masonic Hall.
The talk is free. Hope to see lots of people there!
