When people contact us thinking they might have spirits residing in their home, we advise them to record every activity they think might be paranormal. It helps them and helps us determine how invasive or minor the activity is. This helps the client pinpoint if there is a certain time of day/night that things occur, a trigger that sets the spirit off, or an area that seems particularly active.

Writing a journal about what is going on in your home can also help you to stay somewhat sane and acknowledge the fact that you ARE experiencing something out of the ordinary.
