Fort Edmonton Park – Rutherford House. October 22, 2008

Late afternoon time, not sure exact time.

Went into the Rutherford House to wait for the news crew. Ben was outside somewhere. After I entered the house and closed the door, I heard it open up as I was walking down the hallway. No one was there. Very difficult for door to open accidentally, because it is a latch door and you have to physically lift up on the latch and pull for it to open.

Once the Global crew got there, we started walking up stairs and I picked up on 3 spirits:

Mr. Jameson: Scottish, big mutton chops with a moustache and smokes a pipe. He was in his 50’s.

Milly: very shy, in her early 20’s; a parlour maid. She had light brown hair and a slight build. She sometimes would hide if other spirits showed up. She stayed only in certain areas of the house.

“Towser”: a nickname for him, didn’t find out what his real name was. A young WW1 soldier, 22-23 years old, could be slightly younger. He had a lop-sided smile and a dimple in one cheek. He did not stay in the Rutherford house like Jameson and Milly. He traveled from building to building and would head off to other haunts. He would come to the Rutherford because he liked Milly.

Jameson was fascinated by the equipment the camera man had and he loved Carolyn’s red hair. He thought she was quite striking. He threatened, jokingly, that he wanted to grab a handful of her hair because he was so attracted to it. I warned her she might feel someone touching her hair and what Jameson had said and she was freaking out a little.

Mr. Jameson considers the Rutherford house to be “his” because the master bedroom resembles the one he had when he was living. He feels very comfortable there and is not doing any negative behaviour.

None of the spirits were candidates for spirit removal because they were there out of affection for the park and the billing itself. They could cross over themselves when they felt it was their time.

Note: If you go to Fort Edmonton Park, check out Rutherford House and call for Mr. Jameson and see if the old Scottish guy will come and let you know he is there. If you have red hair, you might get a little tug or two.

In the Cryptozoology world, there is every kind of beast that the human mind can conceive of. Underwater monsters, goat-sucking creatures; things being spotted in the woods that just aren’t a part of normal animal development. Could these beings be Chimeras?? Something that has skipped the evolutionary chain?

Chimeras are a part of mythology; creatures that were part goat, lion and serpent. But now there is talk of using stem cell research for something a little more sinister than helping the medical community cure different cancers and diseases. Genetic manipulation? Human frankenstein-type creations similar to the awful, twisted Nazi experiments that happened during the Second World war?

Scientific American published an article on human-animal chimeras. The article states that Canada has banned chimera experiments, but the US has no such restrictions. When you think of the hundreds of private research labs, no one knows what some of them could be creating:

“There are currently no international standard governing chimera experiments. Canada’s Assisted Human Reproduction Act of 2004 banned human-animal chimeras. The US has no formal restrictions, but Senator Sam Brownback of Kansas proposed legislation in March that would outlaw several kinds of chimeras, including ones with substantial human brain tissue. Some institutions that supply human stem cells set their own additional limits about what experiments are permissible.

Within the US, at least, greater uniformity may emerge from general guidelines on stem cell use recommended in late April by the National Academy of Sciences. The NAS recommended that chimeras involving most animal species generally be permitted. It urged a ban on any use of human cells in other primates, however, as well as the introduction of animal cells into human blastocysts.It also warned against allowing human-animal chimeras to breed: some human cells might have managed to infiltrate the animals’ testes and ovaries. Breeding those animals could theoretically lead to the horrible (and in most cases, assuredly fatal) result of a human embryo growing inside an animal mother.”

Maybe, some of these blended, mutated animal-human hybrids are what people have been seeing over the years in parks, forests, highways and mountains. Would these creatures have been let loose as part of an experiment, or escapees from a laboratory?

The Bailey Brown Townhouse Haunting

Ben and I went to an Edmonton, Alberta townhouse in December of 2009 where 2 young women lived. They were experiencing things falling in the shower while they were in it. Like someone was pushing the shampoo and soap into the bathtub. The garbage can fell over by itself, sounds of some type of furniture being dragged across the floor upstairs, electric crackling sounds, and “something” ate a piece out of a roast chicken one night.

A lot of times people will tell us they can hear a crackling sound like electricity running. Almost like unbridled spirit energy. The women knew something was upstairs and that they were being watched all the time. Whatever was there, they wanted it gone.

I went upstairs where the bathroom and bedrooms were. A young male spirit appeared, very nervous, about 16-17 years old. He said his name was Robert and he was dressed in farm work clothes that looked like they were from the 1910-20’s. He told me “My ma would take the switch to me if she knew what I’d been doing.” He was referring to watching the ladies in the bathroom, and their bedrooms. He had never had a girlfriend or any experience seeing women naked. So he was enjoying himself immensely. I was picking up that he had caught a bad strain of the flu and died from it. Maybe the Spanish flu from 1918.

He was the one spilling items into the bathtub. I assumed he also had knocked over the garbage can and taken a piece of chicken. He told me he did not do those things. Now I’m wondering if there is another spirit I haven’t picked up on yet.

I told him he needed to go into the light and be with his family, explaining they won’t be angry at you for doing those things. He smiled, nodded his head,  and walked off into the light.

I stayed sitting on the rug in the hallway and picked up energy signals from a bedroom in front of me that was dark and empty of furniture. Just then, a picture emerged of a 10 foot boa constrictor that was on the floor of the darkened bedroom. Oh Yeah!!!!

I realised that this creature was probably the one that knocked over the garbage can and took a chunk out of the roast chicken. Communications of course were very limited with the snake and I asked for help to get it into the light. An ethereal being came out and carried the boa constrictor into the light. Good thing, who the hell else was going to get it out?????

I went downstairs to tell the women what I found in their townhouse but before I told them, I asked if they had ever heard anything slithering through their vent system. They looked at each other with a surprised expression and said they had heard noises in the vents at odd times when it wasn’t the heat. I explained the young man and the snake and said the snake was probably all over the townhouse but they would never have seen it. The dragging noise upstairs was probably from the snake too, bumping into furniture and moving it around. Thankfully they were both gone so there was nothing to be afraid of.

I don’t know where the boa constrictor ever came from; maybe someone in the neighbourhood had one in the past. That was my first ghost snake. What next? A dinosaur maybe. Hmmm.
