I will be speaking at the Witchery Market and the topic is going to be Haunted Edmonton.

You will hear about the history of Edmonton, which areas are haunted; and WHY they are so haunted. It will be an extremely interesting talk, as well as other speakers and great vendors with mystic and magical wares!!!

Please go to the Witchery Market website, or, the Facebook event page to find out speaker times. The Facebook Witchery page is here.

Does This Dress Make Me Look Dead?

I found an article dealing with spirits and if they are dressed or not dressed and why this phenomena is. I thought I should throw some of my observations into the pot.

If you go to the link and read the article, it has a number of people expressing their theories and thoughts about spirits clothed and unclothed. They are apparently experts on this topic. I consider myself somewhat of an expert too after seeing over 100+ spirits/entities. Betty DuPont, director of Paranormal Investigators of New England had the better insight into the fashion dispute in the spirit world in the Racked article.

Spirits appear to people in various forms of clothing; some are in historical period pieces and some in full regalia. There are soldiers from different eras who show up with their entire uniform on. That is who they are and that is what they want you to see. Relatives and friends who have passed usually show themselves to you the way they want you to remember them. They can even be 20-30 years younger in appearance than when they died.

I have not seen any spirits in my investigations and spirit removals that have shown up naked. NEVER. Some were in nightgowns or hospital gowns. Quite a few ghosts only had part of them showing; like their top half or bottom half. They weren’t in full form. But they had clothes on. Some spirits, very rarely will show up with the outfit they were buried in – if, and only if, it was an outfit they loved.

So chances of a spirit showing up in your bedroom naked is pretty much slim to none. I don’t know how comforting that is to you. Especially if you are not wanting any type of spooky visitor dropping in. But you never know, maybe they will have their Sunday Best on!
