It’s Christmas Eve. For some, Christmas is a joyous occasion. For others it’s a painful reminder they have lost a loved one, and that awful fact overshadows any pleasure they could hope to receive this season.

Mourning is a necessary process we all must go through in order to function at a “normal” level of living. You have to remember that if you are mourning a loved one, or just enjoying the simple pleasures of Christmas, your loved ones actually are with you in spirit. Even if you cannot see or sense them, they are there.

Please, believe that they are okay,

whether they are people or beloved pets.

They will be with you to either comfort you in your mourning process, or to celebrate the holidays with you. However painful it will be for you, place a photo or memento of your loved one within view of your holiday celebration, dinner or party.

Tell them you LOVE them, and MISS them.

It helps YOU even if it’s only feels like a tiny percentage, and your loved ones appreciate it!!

StoryHive – Why Didn’t You Like US?

Screen Shot 2017-11-22 at 3.49.07 PMA while ago we engaged Galen Pendleton, director, writer and producer to make a piece to submit to Telus StoryHive to get funding for a documentary. A good friend of both Galen and ours allowed us to use her home to film it in. Unfortunately, all the efforts we put into it didn’t get us the $100,000 for the short documentary. We did hear that the judging panel was a little touchy about paranormal subjects so maybe that was the biggest factor. Who knows.

Calgary ParaCon 2017

The first Paranormal Convention in Calgary happened this last weekend. It was put on by Calgary & Banff Ghost Tours run by Johanna Lane. The event was held in the Globe Theatre.

We were happy to have been invited to the event and thrilled to present 2 talks on paranormal subjects.  On Saturday it was “What The *Bleep# Is In My House” and on Sunday it was “Understanding Paranormal Phenomena”.

We were able to meet some new people and make plans to investigate various places with Robyn Condon who specializes in capturing EVP’s.

On Saturday, I saw 4 spirits in the theatre: a lady with dark hair in an updo bun in a yellow ball gown. She said she had “showed up for a show but this is not the show she had planned on coming to”. There was a man in his 30’s on the opposite wall and had workman’s overalls and a smirk on his face. He was doing a back and forth motion with his body against the wall. Then there were 2 spirits of children jumping up and down trying to get the presenter Crystal Johannson to pay attention to them.

Ben and I enjoyed ourselves in Calgary and were lucky to have been joined by some friends from Edmonton who came down to the convention.

Thank-you to Johanna for setting up this great first time convention and here’s looking forward to next year’s ParaCon!!!!
