When I was 17, I saw a 7 foot Man In Black with a black hat standing in the corner of my bedroom at 3 am on a school night. Not understanding the paranormal like I do now, I was extremely fearful and buried my head under the covers hoping he would leave.
He was still there when I lifted my head back out from under. I put my head back under and said to myself that he needed to leave and if there was a higher power, please help it to be gone. Then I came out from under the covers a second time, and he was gone.
I experienced him one other time when I was 17. I think I was trying to determine what he was doing in the corner of my room, waiting and not saying anything. I had seen other figures that were not physical in the past, but they never made me uneasy as much as this one did.
I was going through a shaky adolescence, living without my parents (who were divorced) and my sister, and residing with my grandparents. I wasn’t doing well in high school and my grandfather was not a pleasant man to be around. Somehow I believe that this shadow person was a result of the combination of my depression, teenage angst and uncontrolled psychic abilities. Not saying I manifested him myself, but I gave off some kind of energy that attracted him to me.
That crazy ricocheting, boomeranging, psychokinetic energy. It’s a magnet for certain spirits and they drink in the frenzied vibrations.
This is one of those experiences that is very clear in your head that you never forget. I almost felt he was there to “snatch my soul”, which I now know he couldn’t have done.
After being on countless paranormal and unexplained phenomena blog/web sites, Hat Man is a prevalent being that you spot in many recounted stories from people.
I know if I saw “Hat Man” spirit now, I wouldn’t have any fear of him and would try to find out if he was earthbound or some kind of spiritual phenomena that just forever walks on the earth that doesn’t belong anywhere.

The Paranormal Explorers 
I am freaking out right now. I just found out that what I saw when I was 12 years old (Or around that age) has been experienced by others.i thought I was alone. I saw it a couple of times. One more intense. I was with a friend. It was afternoon. He was just standing in a corner in a dark spot near the backyard door. We saw him and hid. We look again and he was still there. We waited 10 minutes and when we checked again he was gone.
